Nepal-Peace Rally-Buddha Pornima

Buddha Poornima, also known as Buddha Jayanti, is one of the most sacred festivals in the Buddhist calendar. This holy day marks the three important events in Lord Buddha’s life, taking place on the same date, His birth in Lumbini, His attainment of Enlightenment in Buddhagaya, and entering Parinirvana at Kusinagar.

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization Nepal, as in the past, celebrated the 2568th auspicious festival of Buddha Poornima on 23rd May 2024 with love, compassion and reverence. Sai devotees all over Nepal offered prayers and profound devotion to Lord Buddha. 

A Peace rally was organized by Sri Sathya Sai State Committee 3A at Kathmandu. The rally began from Bhadrakali Temple with Veda Chanting and Narsiha Gatha (Verses of Praise for the Lord Buddha), followed by Sai Bhajans. 375 devotees including Balbikash children participated in the event chanting the Sai Bhajans across the core city area of Kathmandu valley, during the rally devotees also distributed Swami’s stickers and pocket calendars with Swami's picture to the public. 

 According to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, this day should encourage people to live in harmony with nature, promoting peace and understanding the world. He reminds us that Love is the royal path to God, the best way to God is to love all and serve all. This He says is the lesson that Buddha taught humanity.

The rally concluded with Mangal Aarati and Prsadam distribution.
