South Africa - Pet Seva | Durban Region

On the 18th of May, the Durban Region extended its loving service to the animal kingdom through the Pet Seva at the Summerveld Hound Resort in Assagay. This sanctuary, which houses 87 rescued dogs, became the focus of the Sai family’s compassionate efforts.

Volunteers from the region gathered at the resort, bringing with them supplies, food, and a great deal of love and care for the animals. The seva included cleaning the kennels, feeding the dogs, and spending time playing and interacting with them. This service was not just about providing physical care but also about offering emotional support and love to these rescued animals.

The NPO running the sanctuary was deeply appreciative of the assistance, as the needs of the dogs are ongoing and extensive. This Pet Seva was a reflection of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s teaching to love and serve all beings. The volunteers left with a sense of deep fulfillment, knowing they had contributed to the well-being of these animals and experienced the joy of selfless service.
